We sincerely appreciate your support and belief in the power of academic research at the intersection of neuroscience & music. Your donation, no matter the size, matters greatly. All donations to the lab are tax deductible (in Canada, USA, EU, etc.). We are happy to provide a tax receipt. Please contact us to discuss a donation strategy that meets your needs and interests.

The BEAT Lab is always in need of funds to:

• Support student researchers. The BEAT Lab is home to undergraduates and graduate students, all of whom require compensation for the time they spend conducting research. We do not currently have the funds to support postdoctoral or technical staff, but your donation could help to make that possible!
• Communicate our research. All the research we conduct is ultimately published in publicly-accessible, peer-reviewed scientific journals. Publishing papers costs ~$4,000 per article. Additionally, BEAT Lab members frequently travel to national and international conferences to discuss our findings with other research professionals. This type of academic exchange is critical to remain at the forefront of our field and to provide students with networking opportunities that benefit their future. Your donation helps to fund our research projects and conference attendance!
• Maintain research infrastructure. We frequently need to update our equipment to maintain state-of-the-art capabilities. For example, we might need to buy an additional graphical processing unit for a lab computer or replace worn out sensors for measuring physiological responses.
